Dijk en Waard & Qualogy: A Successful Collaboration
NieuwsThe municipality of Dijk en Waard recently took an important step in the digitalization of their parking policy with the implementation of the ParQ application, developed by Qualogy. This innovative solution enables residents to easily apply for and manage parking permits through a digital portal. In this article, we share Dijk en Waard's experiences with the ParQ application and the collaboration with Qualogy. We spoke with Evelyn Wegner, responsible for parking permits, and Eddy Jongen, who guided the implementation trajectory.
Collaboration with Qualogy
The collaboration between Dijk en Waard and Qualogy started last year and resulted in the launch of the ParQ application in January of this year. Evelyn Wegner describes the collaboration as positive, despite some challenges at the beginning of the trajectory. "In the beginning it was a bit messy, but that was quickly picked up by the Qualogy team," says Evelyn. According to her, the biggest pro of the collaboration was Qualogy's involvement and flexibility. "We could always count on quick responses and support, especially during the implementation phase," she adds.
Eddy Jongen emphasizes the importance of good preparation and communication. "It is essential to have clarity upfront about what you need, both in terms of policy and technical requirements." "Qualogy supported this well, but it could have been even smoother if we had all certificates and statements in order earlier."
Experience with the ParQ Application
The ParQ application has had a significant impact on work processes within Dijk en Waard. Evelyn Wegner, who previously had to manually print and send parking permits, now sees a huge improvement. "I have almost no work left with standard parking permits." "The system works efficiently and user-friendly," she says.
However, the transition was a bit of an adjustment for some residents. "The notification code and PIN code for the visitor app were initially experienced as difficult, but I think people eventually realize that this is the easiest way," Evelyn explains. Her tip for other municipalities that want to implement ParQ? "Make sure your policy is in order before you start." "The portal is handy, but you need to know which questions are being asked."
Improvements in Service Delivery
The implementation of ParQ has significantly improved Dijk en Waard's service delivery. Where previously obtaining a parking permit could take up to 10 working days, residents now have their permit immediately after payment. "I have already issued almost 2500 permits without having to do much work for it," Evelyn tells us. This has not only saved time but also increased resident satisfaction, despite the initial resistance to the new systems.
Eddy Jongen emphasizes that the application also helps streamline policy. "The portal asks questions that help you sharpen your policy." "It's an interactive process that ultimately leads to better decision-making."
Future-proofing and Feedback
Dijk en Waard sees ParQ as a future-proof platform that can easily move with future adjustments in parking policy. "We are already working on adjustments, and Qualogy responds quickly to our wishes," says Eddy. "Compared to other vendors, Qualogy is much more flexible and faster in implementing changes."
Evelyn and Eddy are both positive about the collaboration with Qualogy and look forward to further developments. "The Qualogy team is very involved and wants to get everything done on time just like we do," says Evelyn. "It's a pleasant collaboration from which we have learned a lot."
